Ingredients
1 tbsp Salt
1 tsp 7 Spices Powder/Garam Masala Powder
1/4 cup Canola/Olive Oil
3 Cups Basmati Rice
1 Bay Leaf
3 Cardamom
3 Cloves
3 Cloves Garlic
1/2 tsp Garlic Ginger Paste
1 Medium Onion
Cilantro
Directions
1. In a medium sized saucepan add 1/4 cup Oil on Low Medium Heat.
2. Add 1 onion and wait until it becomes a light brown color.
3. Add Salt, 7spices powder or garam masala powder, cardamom, cloves, garlic, garlic ginger paste, and bay leaf.
4. Stir occasionally for about 10 min on low heat
5. Add the 3 Cups of Rice and mix everything together for another 5-7 min on low heat, while checking on it occasionally.
6. Add 4.5 cups of water and sprinkle a little cilantro on top. Mix together.
7. Adjust the heat to medium -high and cover the pot for about 7-10 min or when the water disappears.
