Talawa Gosht

Talawa Gosht

Ingredients

1 pound lamb 

1 tsp red chilli powder 

2 small onion

½ cup oil 

1 tsp turmeric powder 

1 tsp vinegar 

½ tsp garam masala powder 

Sprinkle some black pepper (Coarse)

Cilantro 

3 tbsp of garlic ginger paste

1 tsp of salt 

Directions

  1. In a medium sized saucepan add oil and adjust heat to low-medium. 
  2. Add the onions and wait until they become a light brown color. Mix together with the oil 
  3. Place the lamb on top of the onions and add salt, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, vinegar, and 3 tbsp of garlic ginger paste (fresh) 
  4. Cover the pot and wait a few min until it marinates a little. 
  5. Mix together and cover the pot until the lamb becomes tender (for about 20-30 min) while checking on it every few min. 
  6. Add red chilli powder and sprinkle some black pepper on top. 
  7. Cover the lid and let it cook more until the onions have disappeared. 
  8. Add cilantro and mix together.
